What data we process
- What you write in the enquiry form: name, email and/or phone number, message and, if you specify it, the subject of your enquiry.
- Technical data about the submission: the language and the page you write from, date and time, your confirmation that you have read this policy and, if you arrive from a campaign, the link's source parameters (utm). The IP address is used temporarily to prevent abusive submissions.
- Whatever you tell us if you write via WhatsApp, email or phone.
- If you accept analytics cookies, anonymous or pseudonymous browsing data (see the Cookie policy).
We do not need sensitive data or copies of documents in your first message: please do not include them. We will review them through an appropriate channel if you engage our services.
Purposes and legal basis
- Answering your enquiry and, if you ask for it, preparing a service proposal. Basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Providing the legal service if you engage it and complying with the practice's legal obligations (tax, professional conduct, anti-money laundering). Basis: contract and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- Measuring website use in aggregate, only if you accept analytics cookies. Basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time through the "Cookies" link in the footer.
- Protecting the website against abuse and fraud. Basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not use your data to send you advertising, and we do not take automated decisions about you.
How the form works
Each request is stored in the website's management system, which only the lawyer and the people she authorises can access, and an email notification with the request details is sent to the lawyer so that she can reply to you. We will answer through the contact method you have indicated.
Who else may see your data
We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties. Only the essential technical providers access it, as data processors and under contract:
- Website server hosting: OVH GmbH (Germany, EU).
- Email (notification of new requests and communications with you): Google (Gmail).
- If you accept analytics: Google Analytics (Google) and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft).
- If you choose WhatsApp, the conversation is also governed by WhatsApp's (Meta) terms.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. In that case the transfer relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
We will only disclose data to public authorities, courts or other professionals when necessary to handle your case under your instructions, or when required by law.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement: up to 12 months from the last contact, after which they are deleted.
- If you engage our services: for the duration of the professional relationship and, afterwards, for the limitation and retention periods set by law (for example, 5 years for tax and anti-money laundering purposes, and up to 6 years for accounting records).
- Analytics data: according to the duration of each cookie stated in the Cookie policy.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability of your data, and withdraw your consent where the processing is based on it, by writing to lady.j.vera@gmail.com. If you disagree with the response, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
