Losing the job does not automatically end your residence, but you must find a position that meets the requirements or move to another permit.
Routes to consider
With the EU Blue Card, EU rules allow up to three months of unemployment (six if you have held it for two years) without losing the permit, provided you report it. With the national permit, the UGE may check whether you still meet the requirements. Keep the dismissal letter and final settlement, and report the situation before you are asked. A point to check carefully
Find the decision granting your permit, not only the card or NIE number. Check which activity it authorises and when it takes effect.
