What we assess
Temporary protection has been extended until 4 March 2028. It allows you to live and work. Besides Ukrainian nationals, it can cover certain stateless people or people of other nationalities who lived legally in Ukraine, and their family members. Before moving to another permit, it is worth assessing which rights you lose by giving it up.
Documents to get started
- Ukrainian passport or identity document or, if you are not a Ukrainian national, proof of your legal residence in Ukraine before 24 February 2022.
- Documents proving the family relationship, if you apply as a family member.
- Temporary protection decision and TIE, if you already have them.
How we proceed
- Assessment: confirm the route and competent authority.
- Preparation: collect and review evidence specific to your case.
- Filing: check forms, fees and representation.
- Follow-up: monitor notices and explain the decision and next formalities.
What support covers
Support can include checking your eligibility, preparing documents, applying for or renewing protection and the TIE, and studying a move to another permit. Some steps require a personal appearance.
