What we assess
Irregular stay is, as a rule, punished with a fine; according to Supreme Court case law, expulsion requires aggravating circumstances that justify it. In the fast-track procedure you have 48 hours to submit arguments and in the ordinary procedure, 15 days. You are entitled to free legal aid and an interpreter. The associated entry ban can last up to five years, and up to ten in serious cases.
